HELP! I find moving prices unfair.?
I am trying to make a move from NYC to South Carolina, appx 700 miles, but I only have less than a small room worth of stuff. Just a few personal items in some boxes. Don’t know anyone who will rent me a minivan for such a trip, and I tried these brand name companies like Penske, U-Haul,Pods, etc… they all want to charge me in the neighborhood of $1000 for so little stuff, even with their smallest vehicles?!! What the hell?!!…I understand theres a lot of distance, but it’s not like I’m moving an entire apartment or a house!. I want to get the hell out of NYC already and I’m being hampered by theses stupid companies trying to rip me off! I don’t know where else to turn to? Any locals?
