Storage Pods Insurance

Would homeowners insurance cover this accident?

I own a small portable storage business (kinda like pods), and a lady rented a portable storage unit from me to move. While the unit was on her property, her ex ‘accidentally’ rammed his work truck into my storage unit causing thousands of dollars in damage. She’s telling me to go after her Homeowners Insurance since it happened on her property (which she still owns). I was going to try to get his automobile insurance to cover it, but apparently he doesn’t have any.

Will Homeowners Insurance cover this?

Nope, her homeowners insurance won’t cover damage done by an automobile.

You have to go after the owner of the truck, and the driver of the truck.
